Jorddagen nærmer seg – Underskriftskampanje

Posted by Fredsvenn den februar 24, 2010

Dear Friend,

As of this month, more than 100 countries, representing 80% of global emissions, have pledged to rein in their pollution as part of the Copenhagen Accord.

While this is a step forward in efforts to solve the climate crisis, our leaders’ actions have not yet matched the magnitude of our deepening challenge. And as a result, millions of people around the world may face drought, starvation, flooding and more unless we act now to avoid the worst consequences of climate change.

With the 40th anniversary of Earth Day approaching, it’s time to take matters into our own hands. That’s why today we invite you to join thousands of others in securing pledges by Earth Day, April 22, 2010 to cut 1,000,000 pounds of carbon pollution.

Make the Climate Protection Pledge today

Making a pledge is easy. Just click on the link and commit to at least one step — like washing your clothes with cold water or replacing your light bulbs with energy efficient ones.

Together, we can help solve the climate crisis and give our leaders an example to follow.
